Η Καλιφόρνια φλέγεται και πάνω από 10.000 πυροσβέστες προσπαθούν να θέσουν υπό έλεγχο τα 20 πύρινα μέτωπα που μαίνονται ανεξέλεγκτα και αναγκάζουν 13.000 ανθρώπους να εγκαταλείψουν τα σπίτια τους.

Οι φλόγες έχουν καταστρέψει εκατοντάδες στρέμματα γης και το έργο των πυροσβεστών συνδράμουν από αέρος 108 ελικόπτερα και 22 αεροσκάφη, που κάνουν ρίψεις νερού.

Οι Αρχές απευθύνουν έκκληση στους ανθρώπους που υποφέρουν από αναπνευστικά προβλήματα και αλλεργίες να παραμείνουν στα σπίτια τους και ο Λευκός Οίκος παρακολουθεί την κατάσταση.
